Postdoctoral Researcher in Proteomics, Microbiome-Metabolome-Host Interaction in Cancer
Karolinska Institutet is advertising a
Postdoctoral Researcher
position in the Saei Lab at the Department of Microbiology, Tumor and Cell Biology (MTC) in Solna, Sweden. The project sits at the interface of
colon cancer
,
microbiome
,
metabolome
, and
proteomics
, with a strong emphasis on mass spectrometry-based proteomics, cell biology, microbiology, molecular biology, biochemistry, and bioinformatics.
The successful candidate will investigate how gut microbiome-derived metabolites promote colon cancer, using in vitro and in vivo models. The work includes omics experiments, creative biochemistry and molecular biology follow-up, recombinant protein expression, binding assays, and potentially mouse experiments. The lab highlights multidisciplinary and collaborative research, with opportunities to contribute to papers, grants, student supervision, and presentations.
