Anna-Christina Eilers

The MIT Kavli Institute for Astrophysics and Space Research invites applications for a postdoctoral associate in observational extragalactic astrophysics . The successful candidate will join the Cosmic Dawn research group led by Professor Anna-Christina Eilers at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. The project focuses on the formation and evolution of galaxies, quasars, and supermassive black holes in the early universe . The group is involved in multiple JWST General Observer programs , a Large Program on the Chandra Observatory , and additional ground- and space-based observing programs. The research environment also includes institutional access to major facilities such as the 6.5-meter Magellan Telescopes , LIGO , TESS , and the WINTER infrared time-domain telescope. This position is intended for an early-career researcher with expertise across extragalactic astronomy who wants to contribute to an active observational program spanning space- and ground-based facilities.
