Barbara Tempels is an assistant professor at Wageningen University in the Netherlands. Her research focuses on water governance, flood risk management, and community engagement in spatial planning. Recent articles include studies on the role of community benefits in solar farm acceptance and challenges in public space management. She is also involved in exploring the integration of safety approaches within Dutch flood management practices.
