A PhD position is available in Electrical & Computer Engineering, jointly offered by University of California, San Diego (UCSD) and San Diego State University (SDSU). The program focuses on machine learning and AI coursework at UCSD, with research conducted at SDSU under the supervision of Prof. Davani and in collaboration with Dr. Goharian. Research topics include artificial intelligence and deep learning applications in water resources engineering, remote sensing, image processing, and process-based hydrologic and hydrodynamic modeling. Applicants must reside in the US or have a valid visa/status to enter the US soon, possess strong computer programming skills, and have a solid foundation in water resources engineering.
