About
Professor David Ryugo is the Lab Head for Hearing Research at the Garvan Institute of Medical Research in Australia. His research focuses on auditory plasticity, the effects of sound amplification on central auditory pathways, and the relationship between diabetes mellitus and hearing loss. He has published several articles that critically examine corticosteroid therapies for idiopathic sudden sensorineural hearing loss and investigate the expression of potassium channels in the cochlear nucleus and inferior colliculus following auditory deafferentation.
