Dr. Dirk Schubert is an Associate Professor of Translational Neuroscience at RadboudUMC Nijmegen, Donders Institute for Brain Cognition and Behaviour, in the Netherlands. His research focuses on understanding the cellular mechanisms involved in various neurodevelopmental and epileptic disorders, through studies on synaptic function, excitatory/inhibitory balance, and neuronal network activity. Recent publications include work on CACNA1A haploinsufficiency, GABAergic regulation in tuberous sclerosis complex, and the characterization of human induced pluripotent stem cell-derived neuronal cultures.
