Dr. Branka Franicevic is an Associate Lecturer at the University of Derby, UK. Her research focuses on material culture, social identity, and mortuary practices, particularly in the context of precolonial and early modern India. Recent publications include investigations into the social stigma surrounding the Tritiya-Prakriti, as well as studies on the impact of bacterial necrobiomes on the decay of remains from ethnoreligious genocides along the Silk Roads.
