The
Qin Laboratory for Dynamic Structural Biophysics
is recruiting a postdoctoral researcher to work at the interface of
structural biology
,
electrophysiology
,
biophysics
,
protein biochemistry
,
neuroscience
, and
physiology
. The lab studies thermoTRP ion channels and protein dynamics, with projects involving temperature sensing, time-resolved cryo-EM, ultrafast perturbation methods, fluorescence microscopy, thermodynamics, and quantitative modeling.
The position is supported by a newly funded
NIH R35 Outstanding Investigator Award
. The lab emphasizes close mentoring, interdisciplinary collaboration, creativity, and professional development. The successful candidate will work closely with Professor Feng Qin and collaborators, with access to state-of-the-art cryo-EM resources through collaboration with Brookhaven National Laboratory.
Eligibility:
Applicants should have, or be close to completing, a Ph.D. in Biochemistry, Biophysics, Structural Biology, Molecular Biology, Neuroscience, Physiology, Biomedical Engineering, Physics, or a related field. Prior experience in electrophysiology, protein biochemistry, structural biology, cryo-EM, or fluorescence microscopy is preferred but not required.
Funding:
Salary is approximately
USD $60,000 or higher
, commensurate with qualifications and experience and consistent with NIH guidelines, plus a comprehensive benefits package. Visa sponsorship is available for qualified international applicants.
