About

Heather Alexander is an Associate Professor at Auburn University in the United States. Her research focuses on wildfire dynamics, carbon storage, and vegetation mapping, as evident in her recent publications exploring permafrost thaw, Arctic vegetation, and fire behavior in longleaf pine ecosystems. She is actively engaged in studying the interactions between forest structure, fuel dynamics, and environmental factors in various biomes, particularly in high-latitude regions.
