Henk van der Wal is the Head of the Civil-Military Centre of Expertise for Trauma Care at the Ministry of Defence in the Netherlands. His research focuses on the integration of military and civilian trauma systems, as well as developing collaborative trauma training programs for Northern European countries. Recent publications include a systematic review on value-based healthcare from a military health system perspective and multiple articles on trauma training collaboration with insights drawn from South African experiences.
