About
Hirokazu Sakamoto is an Assistant Professor at Chiba University, Japan. His research focuses on autophagy-related ubiquitin-like conjugation systems, evolutionary biology, and the genetic diversity of parasitic organisms. Recent articles include studies on the conservation of autophagy systems in Trichomonas vaginalis and discoveries regarding the evolutionary loss of these systems in Apicomplexa. He is also involved in developing innovative methods for studying oyster parasites and their genetic diversity.
