Large Language Models (LLMs)
, with a focus on pre-training, post-training, and reasoning. The project aims to improve how modern AI systems reason, generalize, and adapt to specialized domains.
The successful candidate will work on methods for
LLM reasoning
with applications in mathematical reasoning, decision-making, and robust generalization across tasks and domains. The research will include designing and running large-scale experiments, developing fine-tuning approaches, and exploring reinforcement learning methods for improving the capabilities and reliability of language models.
This position is based at the
Department of Mathematics and Computer Science
