DTU Wind and Energy Systems is announcing two upcoming fully funded PhD positions focused on 'Privacy-Preserving Data Sharing for Future Energy Systems.' These positions are part of the EUDP-funded project 'Data Unlocked,' which aims to unlock value from energy data while ensuring privacy using differential privacy techniques. The research will address privacy-aware sharing of consumer demand data, secure exchange of grid operation data, and the development of privacy-preserving mechanisms for energy systems. The successful candidates will join the Energy Markets and Analytics (EMA) Section, a diverse and international team at DTU, and will benefit from a collaborative and stimulating research environment. Applicants should have backgrounds in mathematics, statistics, computer science, operations research, control theory, electrical engineering, energy systems, or related fields, with experience in optimization, probability, machine learning, and programming (Python/Julia) considered advantageous. The positions are fully funded, including stipend and tuition, and offer a 4–6 month international research stay.
