The research aims to shed light on trust, governance, and enforcement in legitimate, grey, and illicit markets. This PhD sits at the intersection of economics and cybersecurity , and the supervisors are Professor Jeff Yan (Cybersecurity) and Dr Monica Beeder (Economics). Applicants are especially encouraged if they are interested in quantitative , causal , network , and/or behavioural methods. The post also notes that strong MSc students or graduates may be a good fit. Funding is competition-funded . Successful candidates may receive a studentship covering UK-level tuition fees plus a stipend for living costs . Because funding is allocated competitively, early applications are encouraged.
