Texas A&M University is inviting applications for two full-time, tenure-track assistant professor positions in the Department of Biology (College of Arts and Sciences), with an anticipated start date of August 1, 2027 . The search is aimed at recruiting talented researchers in spinal cord injury research . Successful candidates are expected to build a strong research program that complements existing departmental strengths in spinal cord regeneration and repair , immunology , glial biology , systems neuroscience , neurodegeneration , neural development , and resilience . The positions are part of a broader growth initiative supported by the TIRR Foundation to expand the breadth and impact of spinal cord injury research at TAMU. New faculty will join the Texas A&M Spinal Cord Initiative (TAMSCI) , a network of nine research labs spanning basic and translational work through veterinary and human clinical research. TAMSCI is also affiliated with Mission Connect , a Texas neurotrauma research consortium involving scientists from more than a dozen Texas research institutions and the Texas Medical Center.
