Tenure-track Assistant Professor in Experimental Cancer Immunotherapy at Lund University

Lund University and LUCC (Lund University Cancer Centre) are recruiting a tenure-track Assistant Professor in Experimental Cancer Immunotherapy within the Programme for Global Excellence . The position is based at the Faculty of Medicine and is embedded in the CREATE Health translational cancer research environment and the L2CancerBridge programme. This opportunity is aimed at outstanding early-career researchers with a strong background in immuno-oncology , immunotherapy , experimental cancer therapy , and the tumour microenvironment . The research emphasis includes antibody-based immunotherapies , therapeutic targeting of paracrine communication in the tumour microenvironment, pre-clinical validation in advanced mouse models of cancer, and translational work that can move experimental therapies toward clinical entry. Applicants are encouraged to integrate single-cell and spatial omics approaches and collaborate with experimental and computational groups at Lund University. The appointment is for an assistant professor (associate senior lecturer) track with a 5-year development period and a clear path toward promotion to a tenured senior lecturer position. The post includes an attractive start-up package for staff and running costs, plus access to strong research infrastructures such as Lund University Cancer Centre, SciLifeLab antibody networks, LU-ATMP Centre, spatial biology, and flow cytometry platforms. Eligibility highlights include a doctoral degree or equivalent expertise in a relevant field, preferably a PhD awarded within the last 7 years, strong publication record, relevant experience outside Sweden, documented teaching competence, excellent English, motivation to learn Swedish, leadership ability, and the capacity to develop an independent, innovative research plan. The research plan should be 1,000–1,500 words and demonstrate how the project complements ongoing immuno-oncology and tumour microenvironment research at Lund. The application deadline is 10 June 2026 . Apply via the Lund University Varbi portal using the job link provided in the post.
