Research Assistant Professor (Post-doc)
within the Faculty of Chemistry, Department of Chemical Biology and Bioimaging. The position is part of the NCN OPUS-LAP project
Dissecting cancer activome to develop new generation of antibody-drug conjugates
, led by
Prof. Marcin Poręba
at WUST. The work is situated at the interface of chemistry, chemical biology, biochemistry, and cancer research, with a strong applied focus on antibody-drug conjugates and their cytotoxicity against cancer cells.
The successful candidate will join a research team working on scientific research tasks including
cytotoxicity studies of antibody-drug conjugates
and
preparation of publications
. The role is research-focused and advertised as a post-doc / assistant professor-level temporary appointment. The planned employment period is
2026-11-01 to 2027-06-30
(8 months), full-time, 40 hours per week.
Funding is provided through the
NCN OPUS-LAP project
(not funded by the EU research framework programme). The remuneration is approximately
8,900 PLN gross per month
, with additional benefits including a
13th salary
and
employee capital plan
, bringing the approximate overall gross monthly value to
11,666 PLN
.
Eligibility is targeted to candidates with a
PhD in immunology, biology, biochemistry, biotechnology, or a related field
, obtained in
2019 or later
. Applicants should have practical experience in
biochemistry and molecular biology
, including
Western blot
,
SDS-PAGE
, and
cell culture
. Strong skills in analytical software/techniques, MS Office or equivalent office tools, and illustration software such as
BioRender
are expected.
Fluent spoken and written English
is required. Additional NCN post-doc conditions apply, including that the PhD must have been awarded by another institution and that the candidate must not receive conflicting remuneration during the employment period.
