Marie-Louise Schuttelaar

This PhD opening is based in the Department of Dermatology at the University Medical Center Groningen and focuses on clinical and translational research in eczema. The successful candidate will work within the eczema team on multiple studies related to constitutional eczema and hand eczema, combining direct patient contact with scientific research. The project includes seeing patients independently in clinic, collecting clinical data and biomaterials, including and following patients in clinical studies, and coordinating the practical and organizational aspects of ongoing research. The role also involves analysing data, publishing results, and presenting findings at national and international congresses. The advert places the student in a research-active dermatology environment at UMCG, with room to develop into an independent researcher and with strong emphasis on personal guidance and own input. The position is clinically oriented and research intensive, connecting routine dermatology practice with study coordination and academic dissemination.
