About

Marie Maar is a Professor MSO at Aarhus University in Denmark. Her research focuses on marine ecology, specifically the impact of non-indigenous species, nutrient dynamics, and hypoxia in coastal ecosystems. Recent publications include studies on dispersal pathways in the Danish Wadden Sea and the hydrodynamics of coral reefs in Zanzibar, among other topics related to the restoration of marine habitats and the effects of climate change on aquatic systems.
