AAU PhD course announcement: the Eighth Annual Symposium on Health and Exercise Sciences at Aalborg University is open for registration for PhD students. The course is worth 1 ECTS and will be delivered in a hybrid format with both in-person attendance at the Faculty of Medicine and online streaming. The course is centered on health sciences , exercise sciences , physical activity , rehabilitation , health promotion , and human performance . It highlights research that seeks to understand and promote physical activity across the lifespan and in diverse populations, with perspectives from the natural sciences, social sciences, and humanities. Topics include recruitment and involvement of research participants, mixed methods for gathering and analyzing health outcomes of exercise, improving exercise efficiency and mental performance, novel technologies in sports, and injury prevention in sports and at work. The course is organized by Associate Professor Rogerio Pessoto Hirata with co-organisers Professor Pascal Madeleine and Professor Sine Agergaard . It is intended for PhD students with basic knowledge of health and exercise sciences and experience with quantitative and/or qualitative research methods. The course is described as mandatory for HES and also relevant for BEN and HCHPO. Deadline: 12 May 2026. Dates: 2–3 June 2026.
