About

Ruairidh James Hay Sawers is an Assistant Professor at Pennsylvania State University in the United States. His research focuses on maize domestication, root phenotypic evolution, and the interactions between mycorrhizal symbiosis and plant nutrition. Recent articles highlight his work in landscape transcriptomics and the impact of environmental changes on cereal crops, including adaptation to varying soil conditions and climate catastrophes.
