Professor Sandro Gelsomino is a Full Professor of Cardiac Surgery at Maastricht University Faculty of Health Medicine and Life Sciences in the Netherlands. His research areas include transcatheter aortic valve implantation, atrial fibrillation management in elderly patients, and cardiac metastasis. He has contributed to several recent articles examining the complexities of anticoagulant therapy and the management of heart failure with preserved ejection fraction.
