About
Sara Maria Santos Soares Dias is the Head of Calibration Section at Itecons - Institute for Research and Technological Development for Construction, Energy, Environment and Sustainability in Portugal. Her research areas include alternative concrete aggregates, the bond behaviour of steel-concrete mixes with wood waste, and the assessment of vibration serviceability in large structures. She has recently contributed to studies on the mechanical properties of concrete incorporating wood by-products and the characterization of sandwich core materials for high-temperature applications.
