The group works on practical research problems in
power grid operations and planning

energy storage for grid applications

data center modeling and operations
. Current project directions include
GPU-accelerated grid optimization
for DERMS and large-scale energy system planning,
data center electricity demand modeling
at fast time scales,
long-duration energy storage
valuation for reliability,
electricity market design
for flexible loads, and
demand response modeling
for multi-asset energy portfolios.
Applicants should have a
completed PhD by the start date
in Engineering, Operations Research, Optimization, Applied Mathematics, or a related field. The group also seeks strong backgrounds in
mathematical modeling

. The post emphasizes collaboration with industry partners and the ability to communicate effectively with practitioners.
