Susan Murphy

Harvard University is seeking a postdoctoral fellow to join Professor Susan Murphy’s Statistical Reinforcement Learning Group. The position focuses on sequential decision making in digital health, with research spanning experimental design, online reinforcement learning algorithms, and inferential tools for adaptive decision systems. The successful fellow will work on combining statistical methods with reinforcement learning to develop new algorithms and tools for learning from data over time. The group’s research environment is strongly application-driven, with active involvement in digital health studies related to dental health, cardiac health, physical activity, mental illness, and substance abuse across the world. This postdoctoral role is centered on building an innovative research program in sequential decision making within a collaborative lab led by Professor Susan Murphy at Harvard.
