A fully funded PhD studentship is available at Anglia Ruskin University through the CAM Doctoral Training Partnership, supported by ESRC. The project investigates the interaction between technology and people (practitioners and patients) in healthcare systems facing fragility and scarcity, with a focus on the West Bank, Palestine. The research will explore how frontline practitioners use digital tools, how technology reshapes care, workflows, and patient outcomes, and will blend disciplines through mixed-methods approaches and international fieldwork. Supervisors include Tabish Zaman (Senior Lecturer), Rani Shahwan, Professor Lynn Martin (innovation and entrepreneurship), and Professor Rory O’Connor (rehabilitation medicine). The studentship covers UKRI Home rate tuition fees, a tax-free stipend of £20,780 for 2025/26, up to £900 for research training, a personalised training programme, and a three-month Innovation Fellowship placement. International students must secure additional funding for remaining fees and visa costs. Applicants should be motivated, curious, and open to interdisciplinary research. Applications are open, and candidates should contact Tabish Zaman and review the CAM-DTP website for details.
