PhD opportunity at Delft University of Technology in the Urban Studies section, Faculty of Architecture and the Built Environment, on just and inclusive urban mobility transitions . The project is centered on the social and spatial dimensions of sustainable mobility transitions, with a strong focus on mobility justice , spatial accessibility , and inclusive urban futures . Research directions may include active/shared mobility , accessibility planning , transport disadvantage , digital accessibility , and the relationships between mobility, housing, and spatial planning . This is a fully funded 4-year PhD position . The candidate has substantial freedom to define a research focus within the broader theme and must submit a short research proposal (max. 700 words) as part of the application. The project expects a mixed-methods and participatory approach , including engagement with stakeholders, communities, and policymakers in the Dutch context. The successful candidate will contribute to academic debates and practical strategies for more inclusive mobility futures.
