Applications are open for the Machine Learning of Wearables in Large-Scale Biomedical Studies short course at the University of Oxford , hosted through Oxford Lifelong Learning and taught with experts from the Big Data Institute and the Nuffield Department of Population Health . This immersive post-graduate course is designed for PhD students, postdocs, and early-career researchers working in wearables , machine learning , health data science , and related biomedical research areas. The programme focuses on real-world validation, time-series machine learning, accelerometer data cleaning, open datasets, self-supervised learning, epidemiological analysis, and the discovery of digital biomarkers. Teaching includes daily lectures, interactive computer sessions, hands-on practicals, and opportunities for one-to-one interaction with Oxford academics and invited speakers. The course is held at Jesus College, Oxford , and includes a certificate of attendance and a digital badge. Eligibility highlights: applicants should have at least a bachelors’ degree, be actively engaged in health data research, and ideally be comfortable with basic Python and R .
