CICOPS Scholarship

CICOPS Scholarships 2027 at the University of Pavia in Italy are now open for visiting scholars from developing countries who want to join international research and innovation projects.

This is a fully funded short-term research opportunity for researchers, PhD holders, and academic staff working in fields connected to global cooperation, development-focused research, public health, immunology, vaccinology, and medical laboratory science. The programme supports a stay of 4 to 12 weeks at the University of Pavia.

Funding includes return airfare, accommodation, meals, health insurance, and a €150 weekly stipend. Eight scholarships are available for the 2027 cycle.

Eligibility highlights: applicants must currently live in a World Bank low-income, lower-middle-income, or upper-middle-income economy at the deadline; hold a PhD or equivalent doctoral degree; be employed by a university/higher education institution and/or have at least two years of relevant employment in a university, higher-education institution, public/non-profit research centre, or intergovernmental/international public institution; and show recent research activity with at least two authored scientific publications/outputs in the proposed field.

A key requirement is an invitation letter from a contact professor at the University of Pavia. Applicants should first identify a suitable host, then submit the online application only after receiving the invitation letter. Incomplete applications are rejected.
