Frankfurt School Fully Funded Doctoral Programme

The Frankfurt School of Finance & Management offers a fully funded PhD programme designed for outstanding students interested in pursuing advanced research in Accounting, Economics, Finance, and Management. Located in Frankfurt am Main, Germany, this rigorous doctoral programme is delivered entirely in English and provides a vibrant academic environment within one of Europe’s leading business schools.

Funding is highly competitive, with up to eight fully funded places available each year. The funding package includes a full tuition waiver and a monthly stipend of 2,320 EUR for five years, contingent on satisfactory academic progress. There are no tuition fees or semester contributions. All applicants are automatically considered for funding based on academic merit; no separate scholarship application is required.

International elements are integral to the programme, with language training and integrated German and English language courses available. The school provides extensive support for international students, including welcome events, buddy programmes, assistance with accommodation, and help with registration procedures. Admission requirements include a CV, list of publications (if applicable), certified copies of university entrance qualification and degree certificate (or equivalent) with academic transcript, official GMAT or GRE results, proof of English proficiency (TOEFL IBT minimum score 100 or IELTS minimum score 7.0), a statement of purpose (up to two pages), and two letters of recommendation. An optional statement may also be submitted.
