About this position
The University of Cambridge is offering one fully funded, non-clinical PhD studentship in applied health research through the NIHR Applied Research Collaboration East of England (ARC EoE). The successful student will choose from four advertised projects, with the final award made to the strongest candidate across all projects.
Depending on the selected project, the student will be registered for a PhD in Public Health and Primary Care or a PhD in Psychiatry. Projects are based in either the Department of Public Health and Primary Care or the Department of Psychiatry and focus on applied health and care research that responds to local population and service needs and supports the use of research evidence in practice.
The student will join the ARC EoE doctoral community, gaining access to regional training, events and research networks, alongside departmental support and the research environment of the relevant supervisor’s group. Project supervision is led by Emanuele Osimo, Simon Etkind, Zoë Fritz or Lois Kim, depending on the project selected.
This opportunity combines doctoral training in public health, primary care or psychiatry with collaborative applied research across the East of England and engagement with research themes addressing patients, services and health and care systems.
