PhD Scholarship Opportunity at Murdoch University in Mining Water Management & Sustainability.

The Sandrina Park Graduate Award is a fully funded PhD scholarship supporting research on accurate prediction of mine water inflows for dewatering design, especially in cave mining operations where uncertainty can affect safety, delays, and costs. The project aims to improve mine water modelling by integrating surface water, groundwater, probabilistic seepage analyses, and advanced uncertainty assessment techniques.

This opportunity is open to both domestic and international applicants. The scholarship provides a stipend of $37,000 per annum for up to 3.5 years, plus tuition fee support.

Ideal candidates should have interests and a relevant research background in mining engineering, hydrogeology, hydrology, groundwater systems, modelling, and sustainability research.
