About this position
Mid Sweden University is advertising a doctoral position in pedagogy with a strong focus on higher education and lifelong learning in working life. The project is situated within the university’s pedagogical research environment, where education and research are connected to teacher education and the behavioral sciences programme.
The position is linked to a broader research profile in pedagogy organized around four research groups: Didactics, Inclusion and Diversity (DIM), Higher Education and E-Learning (HEEL), Critical Perspectives in Educational Research (KUF), and Leadership in Education Administration and Development (LEAD). The advertised project centers on pedagogical processes such as organizational development, competence development, and learning in working life, with particular interest in a higher-education pedagogical perspective on lifelong learning and how current societal development and higher education can support the pedagogy of working life.
The successful doctoral student will work closely with experienced supervisors and contribute to exploring this research area through full-time doctoral research at the start of the appointment. The position may later include a limited amount of teaching and administrative work as part of the doctoral education.
The appointment is based in Sundsvall and is intended to lead to a doctoral degree through four years of full-time study.
