About this position
This postdoctoral fellowship is hosted by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration’s Center for Drug Evaluation and Research (CDER) in Silver Spring, Maryland. The project is centered on understanding how proteinuria affects the elimination and pharmacokinetics of biological products, with the goal of improving dose optimization for patients in clinical studies and informing labeling recommendations.
The fellow will contribute to data collection, analysis, modeling, and simulation in a regulatory science environment. The research is specifically tied to clinical pharmacology considerations for patients with proteinuria who are treated with biologic products, making it relevant to translational drug development and regulatory decision-making.
Under the guidance of mentor Jianmeng Chen, the participant will gain experience in biologics development, PK/PD analysis, and computational approaches used in pharmacometrics. The position is embedded in FDA CDER, which regulates over-the-counter, prescription, generic, and biological therapeutics, offering exposure to a public-health-focused research setting.
