This PhD opportunity is offered through the Erasmus Research Institute of Management (ERIM), the joint research institute of Rotterdam School of Management, Erasmus University and the Erasmus School of Economics. The programme sits within the Business Processes, Logistics & Information Systems area and is framed as an internationally oriented PhD environment focused on pioneering management and business research.
The research theme is designed to engage with developments in logistics and supply chain management in interaction with business operations, information, and technology innovation. RSM states that it currently offers several PhD projects in this LIS research programme, including topics in information systems and artificial intelligence, innovation management, and optimization of emergency services under decentralized capacity sources. The projects are described as four-year, fully funded opportunities with possible extension, supported by state-of-the-art facilities and the wider ERIM research environment.
The position is based at Erasmus University Rotterdam in Rotterdam, within a research institute that connects management scholarship with business practice and with strong links between RSM and ESE.
