About this position

PhD opportunity in Sweden

We are looking for a motivated PhD student in the Disability Research Division at Linköping University, Sweden. The PhD candidate will work on an interdisciplinary project investigating cognitive processing across diverse modalities (e.g., auditory and motor), using behavioural and brain imaging methods, such as fNIRS.

What's required

Applicants must have a master's degree or equivalent in a relevant field such as psychology, cognitive science, speech therapy, neuroscience, medicine, audiology, or computer science, or have completed at least 240 ECTS credits with at least 60 at the advanced level in a relevant subject. Documented experience in statistical analysis, programming, and data management is required. Fluency in Swedish, both spoken and written, is mandatory. Experience in designing and conducting behavioral experiments, signal processing in Matlab or Python, and knowledge of machine/deep learning or neural networks are highly meritorious. Good English skills and experience with open science practices are also valued. Strong ability to work independently and collaboratively is expected.
