About this position
The doctoral position is based in the Active and Healthy Ageing research group at the Department of Health Sciences, Lund University. The group is part of the interdisciplinary Centre for Ageing and Supportive Environments (CASE), where senior and junior researchers from several faculties work together in a collaborative and international environment.
The PhD project is linked to the four-year research project PRO-COG, which examines what makes public environments accessible and usable for people with different cognitive disabilities. The research aims to build knowledge that can be translated into new ways of designing public facilities and digital information so that people’s participation in society is strengthened.
The doctoral student will primarily work with qualitative research methods for data collection and analysis. The project involves planning research activities, gathering and synthesising data, publishing findings in English-language scientific articles, and developing the doctoral thesis. The student will also take part in seminars and other research activities and contribute to the wider work of the research group, the department, and CASE.
Supervision is provided by researchers with expertise in health sciences and occupational therapy. The position is embedded in a multidisciplinary setting with close cooperation across disciplines, and it includes opportunities for national and international travel as well as a possible research stay at another university.
