About this position

Sabrina Amorim, Assistant Professor of Quantitative Genetics and Genomics at Oklahoma State University, is recruiting an M.S. or Ph.D. graduate student to join her group in the Department of Animal and Food Sciences.

Research interests include genomic prediction and genetic evaluation in livestock species, statistical genomics, genome-wide association studies, genotype-by-environment interactions, resilience, and the integration of genomic, phenotypic, and environmental data to improve breeding decisions.

Ideal applicants have a background in quantitative disciplines such as animal breeding, animal science, quantitative genetics, statistical genetics, bioinformatics, or data science. Experience with R, Python, and/or Linux is a plus.

For international applicants, an English proficiency test (TOEFL, IELTS, Duolingo English Test, or PTE Academic) is required unless a waiver applies under Oklahoma State University Graduate College policies.
