The Department of Molecular Sciences and Nanosystems at the Ca’ Foscari University of Venice, Italy, is offering a PhD position focused on the cutting-edge field of optoelectronics of two-dimensional (2D) materials.
The candidate will explore the unique optical and electronic properties of 2D materials and their heterostructures to develop next-generation, high-performance, energy-efficient optoelectronic devices. The selected candidate will:
?? Synthesize 2D materials and heterostructures using mechanical exfoliation & chemical vapor deposition (CVD).
?? Characterize their optical and electronic properties using advanced microscopy and spectroscopy techniques.
??? Fabricate nanoscale devices via lithography, etching, and evaporation.
?? Perform optoelectronic characterization using state-of-the-art measurement setups.
?? Enjoy a six-month research stay at a leading international institution!
