Delft University of Technology is recruiting a part-time Postdoctoral Researcher in Financing Energy Renovation of Homes for the RVO-supported TRIK project, “Future-Proof Renovation with Integrated Quality Assurance.” The position is based in the Management in the Built Environment department within the Faculty of Architecture and the Built Environment in Delft, Netherlands.
The research focuses on the financial dimension of neighbourhood-scale energy renovation of privately owned homes. The work also includes exploring innovative financial solutions with municipalities, financial institutions, market actors, and other stakeholders.
Responsibilities include stakeholder interviews, workshops, validation sessions, practical recommendations for municipalities, project reports, and scientific publications. The role offers applied, interdisciplinary research at the intersection of finance, economics, sustainable buildings, energy transition, architecture, and urban renovation.
Applicants should be Dutch-speaking and hold a PhD in the built environment, real estate, economics, finance, sustainability, energy transition, or a related area. Experience or strong interest in financial and business models for sustainable buildings or energy renovation, stakeholder-oriented research, qualitative or quantitative methods, and academic publishing is preferred.
