Karlstad University in Sweden is advertising an extended application period for a PhD position in Computer Science within the Department of Mathematics and Computer Science.

The project is centered on next-generation 6G wireless systems with a strong emphasis on large-scale Internet of Things (IoT). Research topics include AI/ML-driven network optimization, scalable IoT access, resource orchestration across terrestrial and non-terrestrial networks, and edge-assisted processing for energy- and latency-constrained services.

The doctoral student will join the Distributed Intelligent Systems and Communications (DISCO) research group and work in an interdisciplinary environment with academic and industry collaborators.
