About this position

Utrecht University’s Copernicus Institute of Sustainable Development is offering a fully funded PhD position focused on the governance, contestation, and justice in the Dutch green hydrogen transition. The research will explore how the Dutch government steers the green hydrogen transition, the interactions between policy, industry, and society, and the emergence of tensions and (in)justice in this pathway. The project aims to contribute to a just and socially acceptable energy transition in the Netherlands.

The PhD is embedded within the Innovation Studies and Energy & Resources sections and will be supervised by Prof. Dr. Koen Frenken, Dr. Iris Wanzenböck, and Dr. Sanne Akerboom.
