A fully funded MSCA Doctoral Researcher (PhD) position in Power Electronics is available at Tampere University, Finland, as part of the MAGNIFY project focused on advancing energy conversion technologies. The research centers on harnessing time-domain loss models in model-based control, with applications in renewable energy systems, electric vehicles, smart grids, and industrial automation. The position offers a competitive salary (minimum €3,950/month, €4,450/month with family allowance) for a 3-year fixed term, and includes international secondments to KU Leuven (Belgium) and Hitachi Energy (Poland), as well as travel to consortium meetings and conferences.

Applicants must have an M.Sc. in Electrical Engineering, experience in power electronics (especially grid-connected converters), knowledge of modern and optimal control theory, strong interest in mathematics and optimization, proficiency in MATLAB, and excellent English skills.
