About this position

PhD positions are available at the National University of Singapore for the January 2027 intake in the research group of Shengman Li (Assistant Professor, Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering).

The group works at the intersection of semiconductor materials, devices, circuits, and monolithic 3D integration. Research topics include oxide semiconductor and carbon nanotube transistors, BEOL-compatible and monolithic 3D electronics, emerging memory devices and circuits, thermal management and reliability of nanoscale devices, and device–circuit co-design for next-generation computing systems.

Applicants with backgrounds in electrical engineering, materials science, physics, microelectronics, or related disciplines are encouraged to apply. Helpful experience includes semiconductor device fabrication, electrical characterization, simulation, circuit design, and work on emerging materials.

The application deadline is 1 August 2026 for international students, with a later deadline for applicants residing in Singapore as noted on the NUS graduate admissions page.
