Training will be provided in research methods, programming, and other relevant skills, with opportunities to work at partner institutes and attend scientific conferences.
Funding for eligible students includes full coverage of home tuition fees and an annual tax-free stipend of £20,780 for 3.5 years, in line with UKRI rates. Additional budgets are available for project costs (£9,000), conferences (£2,000), and specialist training (£1,000). Applicants should hold or expect to obtain a first or upper second class UK honours degree, or equivalent, in a relevant discipline such as environmental science, earth science, geography, or physics. Experience with climate modeling, data analysis, or programming is desirable but not essential. Funding eligibility is typically restricted to UK home students.
