Postdoc in Applied Economics at Gran Sasso Science Institute (GSSI)

This is a 2-year postdoctoral research opportunity in the Social Sciences area at GSSI, with a possible extension. The project is centered on green and digital transitions, with research on skills, jobs, firm quality, and policy. The work will draw on applied economics, especially the literature on labour economics, innovation, and industrial dynamics.

The successful candidate will use econometric techniques and data science tools, including natural language processing, and will work with both secondary data and primary data such as survey experiments. The post is funded by the Horizon project PACT: Past And Current Transitions: A new pact for fair and resilient European regions.

Eligibility highlights: a background in applied economics is preferred, along with familiarity with labour, innovation, and industrial dynamics research. No teaching or administrative duties are mentioned.
