About this position
Postdoctoral position at the University of Copenhagen in the Hansen Group at the Novo Nordisk Foundation Center for Basic Metabolic Research (CBMR).
The project is titled “Postdoc in Deciphering the Oral–Liver Axis: Integrative Cross-Organ Multi-Omics Analysis” and focuses on multi-omics, computational biology, bioinformatics, human genetics, metaproteomics, metagenomics, and longitudinal clinical data. The successful candidate will work on computational analysis, multi-omics integration, and biological interpretation to uncover causal mechanisms and biomarkers along the oral–liver axis.
This is a translational, interdisciplinary role connecting oral health, liver disease, and cardiometabolic research. The postdoc will collaborate with clinicians and method experts in an international and supportive environment.
Eligibility highlights: PhD in bioinformatics, computational biology, statistical genetics, systems biology, or a related field; strong publication record; experience with large-scale omics integration; familiarity with GWAS, Mendelian randomization, colocalization, proteomics, metagenomics, causal inference, and network/pathway analysis; excellent English communication; project management skills.
Program eligibility: open to applicants with a PhD from outside Denmark, or Danish PhD holders with at least 12 months of full-time research experience outside Denmark. The PhD must be completed before 15 November 2026.
Funding and terms: full-time 2-year postdoc; salary, pension, and employment terms follow Danish university agreements, with possible supplement depending on qualifications.
