About this position

University of Copenhagen, Department of Drug Design and Pharmacology (ILF), is advertising a 3-year postdoctoral position in lipidomics starting from February 2027.

The project is centered on developing analytical methods to identify and quantify gangliosides and glucosylsphingosine, and integrating these approaches with existing methods at the Lipidomics Core Facility at the Danish Cancer Institute. The research will analyze samples from people with Parkinson’s disease to identify lipid changes associated with disease pathology.

This is a collaborative project involving Celine Galvagnion (Associate Professor, University of Copenhagen), together with Mesut Bilgin and Kenji Maeda at the Danish Cancer Institute. The postdoc is part of a 5-year Hallas-Møller Ascending Investigator project supported by the Novo Nordisk Foundation.

Location: University of Copenhagen, Denmark.

Deadline: 15 November 2026, 23:59 CET.

Research keywords: lipidomics, Parkinson’s disease, gangliosides, glucosylsphingosine, analytical chemistry, neurodegeneration, biomarker discovery.

Applicants interested in postdoctoral research in lipidomics, neurodegenerative disease, and analytical method development should review the vacancy page and submit their application before the deadline.
