About this position
The Leibniz Institute for Prevention Research and Epidemiology (BIPS) in Bremen is recruiting several postdoctoral researchers to contribute to a broad expansion of its prevention research portfolio. The post is embedded in a cross-departmental research environment that brings together multiple scientific departments at BIPS and connects closely with the University of Bremen.
The research focus is on prevention of chronic, non-communicable diseases across the life course. The work spans major determinants beyond single diseases, including lifestyle, environment, digital media, biological and social factors, and early detection. The institute will draw on large existing cohort studies, including IDEFICS/I.Family and the NAKO Health Study, while also establishing a birth cohort and analyzing secondary health claims data.
Postdoctoral researchers will contribute to implementation and interventional research aimed at developing and evaluating innovative targeted prevention strategies. The role is suited to researchers who want to help shape independent research directions within a supportive, international institute and who are interested in collaborative work across epidemiology, health science and related areas.
The position is offered by the Leibniz Institute for Prevention Research and Epidemiology – BIPS GmbH in Bremen, Germany.
