About this position
Postdoc opportunity in RNA and translation at I2BC (CNRS, CEA, Université Paris-Saclay) in Gif-sur-Yvette, France, in the team of Olivier Namy.
The project is embedded in the ERC Synergy initiative 3Stops2Go and focuses on alternative decoding, nonsense mutations, and therapeutic readthrough. The successful candidate will work on two main research directions: designing, running, and analyzing a large-scale lentiviral screen in human cells to identify new suppressor tRNAs that promote selective readthrough of premature termination codons (PTCs), and elucidating the mode of action of TLN468, a readthrough inducer with higher efficiency than gentamicin and unusual selectivity for the amino acid incorporated at each stop codon.
Preferred background includes a PhD in molecular biology, biochemistry, or a related field, with a solid foundation in RNA biology, translation, cloning, human cell culture, and flow cytometry. Experience with lentiviral vectors, functional screens, or ribosome profiling is a strong advantage.
The position is offered as a 3 x 1-year contract starting December 2026. The post links to the full advertisement and application instructions through the provided URL. Interested applicants are encouraged to review the full offer and contact the team directly if needed.
